On page 256 in the black book, Tolkien talks about a "globe of pallid light". Is the light coming from the Arkenstone itself? Because when Bilbo takes it, you would think that the liight would disappear into his pocket with the stone. But if that were true, then woldn't the dwarves have real...

Do you think that Bilbo did the right thing by taking the jewland not telling Thorin? What do you think? I don't think that Bilbo did the right by taking the jewl. He should have told Thorin, because Thorin already rewarded Bilbo by giving him that mail.

On page 226 in my book it says that Bilbo put the LARGE and HEAVY gem in his deepest pocket. Since Bilbo is small how would a large and heavy gem not be seen bulging out of his pockets. Does he just have really super baggy pants? Your thoughts.

For # 5 in Chapter 13 (Explain the significance of this chapter's title.), the Tilte is "Not at Home". So I understand that they are NOT AT HOME, but is there some little hidden meaning that I didn't catch that is really significant?

I know that the Arkenstone is the gem that Bilbo picked up, but is it also a place in the mountain? Becasue on page 237 the book sadi, "It was the Arkenstone, the Heart of the Mountain." By "the Heart" does that means like the middle of the mountain, or am I just completely wrong.......
