Unless you've read chapter 12 then you'll have no idea what i'm talking about but why doesn't Smaug just shoot flames up the tunnel because he knows that's where Bilbo whent.

Okay so I'm like dying to know how the book ends, I don't read that fast!! I was slightly bored during other parts of the book, but now I know this is Bilbo's turn to show his bravery!! I mean seriously the book is called "The Hobbit". Looking forward to the next few chapters!

Do you think that the wood-were meant to catch the dwaves?

Gandalf is a wizard, Bilbo is a hobbit, and Thorin and Co. are all dwarves. We already know that Gollum is a species of his own, but what exactly is Beorn? Is he like Gollum, a species of his own, or did something happen that like, mutated him? I know he's a man-bear, but how did he get that way?

Ok......... for me I picture Gandalf as being this really tall skinny dude, with really skinny arms and legs, a long white beard, and a bald spot on his head that he covers up with hat. But yeah...........how do you picture him.[spoiler]
