Who's your favorite character in The Hobbit and why?

My favorite character has to be Bilbo, because he's so cute:) Ha I picture him as a little guy who has a big ol' belly and smiles alot.

So anyways, who's your favorite?

He seems like a grandpa kind of figure. Haha someone I would want to be with in a tough situation. Like the whole burning wolves in trees with goblin situation.
That wouldn't be fun to face alone.

I don't know I'm torn between so many. Out of the dwarves I would have to say Kili and Fili sound the most upbeat, probably because their young. Although Dori is having to help Bilbo with everything so I kind of feel sympathy for him and Bombur because he is sooo fat. So I guess my favorite character would have to be Bilbo. Even if he hasn't been much of a burglar he is still brave for going on the trip. Which is more than I can say, because I don't think I would have had enough nerve to go.

I would have to say, so far in the book, Gollum, because he's so werid and creepy. You just wanna feel sorry for him but then laugh at him the same time. Does that make sense? hmm.gif

My favorite charater would have to be Bilbo. Just like you said I picture him with a big belly, freckles and smiles a lot!! He seems so cute. I just love him. :]

I would have to say probably Gandalf he just has so much faith in Bilbo and thats how budds are so thats prbably my favorite character

I must say that my favorite character is hands-down, Gollum! I picture him as this little old monkey thing. I feel really sorry for him because he has like, no friends and he's all alone in the dark talking to himself. He adds a really neat flare to the story.

My favorite character in this story would probally have to be Gollum because he sounds so lonely and cryptic.

Hmmm. I believe I like Gandalf the best. I like the fact that he's all CRYPTIC (yay vocab) and he can do magic. I like magic and pointy hats.

My favorite character is Gandalf because he is so smart and always figures out what to do in bad situations.
