Did Bilbo accidently slip on the ring, or did he purposely do it right when he saw the elves and that they just didn't notice?

What is your perspective on how the dwarves are treated by the elves? Do you see it as "they took them out of Mirkwood and gave them food, so really they saved them"? or "They've got them locked up until they talk, so they are bad."?

So I was wondering......do you think bilbo is one of strongest members on the team? I think he is! 1) he saved them from the spiders who were about to devore them with their fangs of doom.(mwahahahaha!) 2) he just got them out of the Elven King's castle with his keen hearing and luck...

i am so happy for bilbo to finally get more courageous and brave he saves his friends everytime the need help do u think he is doin a better job than Gandolf since he is baareley even ever around i mean bilbo should be like the leader of the team whats your opinion??

do you think the ring is a part of bilbo now like a symbol i think that it is a really big symbol of the story that he needs it to survive because he uses it for all of his problems so i am glad he got took into that dark cave where gollum live or else he could not have found the ring at all

How do you think that this chapter would have changed if Bilbo had lost the ring? How would he have slipped from the elves, and if he would have, how would he have helped his friends get out and he jump onto the barrel without being seen?
