Quick Death


Is it me or does everyone think that Smaug died a bit too quick? I guess it means that there's more evil to come but still, why did he have to die so quick without even killing a few (more?) people or something? It's a bit disappointing.

lol that's a bit depressing. But in actuality, there werent many left defending. They would've lost if the thrust on pg 250 hadn't told him what to do. So even though Tolkien doesn't signify that fact, but if you reread it it seems that way.

Through the whole book I was expecting Bilbo to kill Smaug! Then BAM Bard kills him!furious.gif

WOW!! a death question i would have never thought.Anyways i think that Smaug was a big part of the story but he isnt the whole story.BUt that would have been cool if Bilbo got to kill him then hen would be an even bigger hero(but not in size haha).
