Now that Smaug is dead what do you think Bilbo will do? Do you think his adventure is over or is there still more to come?
No the adventure is not about to end because on page 430 in my book Gandalf says "Things are drawing.... keep your heart up" So I think Gandalf knows somthing that Bilbo and company don't like there might be a war or they might all die or somthing.

I do not think that the journey is over because I was talking to Mrs. Sanders the other day and she said that the company's goal is to reclaim the treasure. On page 277 in my black book (beginning of chapter 15), Thorin says "Something strange is happening", but at this point, they have not yet realized that Smaug is dead and that there is no one stopping them from getting the treasure. They are still waiting for Smaug to come back I guess. The ultimate boon has not happened, though. Hope that answers your question.

Of course there is still more to come because on page 261 (lgb) at the very top it says "you will see that the dwarves still had days before them." I like this guy he's cool.

Of course not! Look at the argument between Thorin and Bard. Bard says on 288 "I declare the Mountain besieged. You shall not depart from it," Both sides seem willing to put up a fight for a share of the treasure!

I do not think the journey is over becsause on page 232( in the book with the river and Gandalf on front) when the raven is telling the dwarves that Smaug is dead says," So much for joy, Thorin Oakenshield. You may go back to your hallls in safety:all the treasure is yours- for the moment. This is kind of foreshadowing the fight that is going to be put up by the men of armies. Which really kind of stinks since they just got the good news of Smaug!
