I'm sort of confused about the way Smaug talks. Like on page 243, or something in my book, it says that Smaug is trying to trick Bilbo and trying to get him to betray Thorin & Co with his dragon magic. Dragon magic? I mean really. How does it work? What would it make Bilbo do? Like, let Smaug eat him or something?
