Gollum would have killed him after he discovered the ring was gone ,would have been eaten by goblins after being captured,and posibly just mabey have made it out........who am I kidding no chance.
I think that gollum would have killed him. Bilbo also would havelost the game and been killed then, he would have been killed when he was running and fell, and he would have been killedby the goblins.
He would have probably gotten eaten but come on he had a freakin sword and Gollum had nothing its not really a fair fight but if it was my life i really wouldnt care. Sorry as much as Gollum is awesome if he came at me saying my precious and trying to eat me cause i'd not want to die like that
If Bilbo hadn't found the ring, then he would have died... or gotten eaten. Everyone knows that. But then it wouldn't be much of a story. So... he possibly could make it out alive if the whole thing was a story... and it is. So he did find the ring and he did not die and he did get out of there. And now, we have to continue reading the story.

Well, I would say he would've either got eaten by Gollum, eaten by goblins, or if he just so happened to escape with his awesome luck, eaten by spiders in Mirkwood.
If Bilbo had not found the ring he would not have asked Gollum what he had in his pocket. He wouldnt have thought of any riddle so Gollum would have attacked. Bilbo would have pulled his sword and stabbed for, the only thing he could see clearly in the dark, a pale bulbous eye. After dispatching the gruesome creature he would have worked his way back to the surface and continued on his journey. Everyone knows the hero never dies. Tooks Rule.
What do you think would have happened? Would he make it out alive? Would he get eaten? These are the questions that haunt me.....

Bilbo would have died in many cases, like when he was asking the question, because gollum said nothing and if the ring wasn't in there, there would have been nothing. He also would have died whenever gollum was chasing him and he fell, and when he jumped over gollum, gollum would have seen him before he jumped and killed him. The goblins also would have killed him whenever he ran straight through the goblins.
