Call to Adventure

Brief Description:

The hero starts off in a mundane situation of normality from which some information is received that acts as a clarion call to down tools, take up sword (literally or figuratively) and head off into the unknown. This is the point when the hero realizes everything must change...

The information may be a problem, a challenge or request.

What brings the call of adventure to our beloved hobbit, Bilbo?

Post ideas/thoughts/textual evidence (ALWAYS wonderful) here! Don't for get to use the "quote" option when responding!

smile.gifWhen Gandalf persists, and the dwarves show up, Bilbo begins to feel the Tookish(haha I love that word) side of him stir...until he finally breaks free and plunges into adventure, not knowing what lies ahead.(because his eyes are closed of course)

The call to adventure is pretty in your face, Gandalf simply showing up on Bilbo's doorstep and telling him to come on an adventure... said Gandalf "I am looking for someone to share in an adventure that I am arranging..." page 4! Lol laughing.gif
