This was a very short chapter. So when does this secret door close? Apparentally it opens on the day but if it opens, it should close too, right? But when? Or is that insignificant? It's significant to me because if it closes after the day moon thing ends then wouldn't they be trapped with Smaug? But if it doesn't close soon... why would someone do that? Better question - what was normally inside?
I know this isn't in the 11th chapter. And I know I asked a lot of questions. Please answer any?

try reading twards the end of the chapter 12, it said that they closed the door because of smaug.
