when Bilbo was invisible for all that time in the kings prison how had he not found thorin?? Even if he was looking he could of thought of a better plan than what he thought of! He almost killed some of the dwarves!!

In the book on page 174 it said that the doors close (magically) when the last of the dwarves go through. So if the was following behind the doors would shut before he could get through... so I think that kind of messed up and post-poned anything he wanted to try.
