Well they all kind of came without warning and he is lke, part bear so I think its an exception... Maybe he was coming back from wherever he went the night before?

Well he did help the dwarves and Bilbo alot, and if I were in that position I would think " Hmmm this guys mean but look at all hes done for us, and all hes going to do!"
