Gandalf and His "Pressing Business"


Unless you've read way past ahead..., what do you think Gandalf had to suddenly ride off to take care of when they arrived at the gates of Mirkwood? Make up some interesting senarios.

Yeah I wondered what he had to do that was so important but I can't think of anything that would sound good. I wonder if he will help them out again by the end of the story.

I think he felt the dwarves weren't going to get there alive and it was a lost cause so he deserted for some cake, sleep, and pie.
