If you were in Bilbos place what do you think you would have done differently? What would you do if you saw the dwarfs and you thought they left you behind? What would you say if there was no treasure at all?!

To start with I wouldn't have gone anyway but if I had I would have wanted the dwarves to show me proof but if they left me I would just plop on my magic ring and make sure that they naver did it again.
I don't know if I would have gone in the 1st place but if I had to then I would have maybe be a little more prepared. If I thought the dwarfs had left me I probably would have freaked out and gone home, if I could find the way and if there was no treasure I would be really mad. I risked my life for nothing! If I even survived I would probably look back and think, hey that was kinda cool but so yeah!

Well I would've done nothing differently because i think he got of the goblin filled cave alive, very well. About the dwarves.. I would've ran around insane with the horror of being lost in beside a cave filled with things that want to kill me. If there was no treasure at all I would be kind of sad that I had gone through with all those treasures for nothing . however I wouldn't be completely disapointed considering I had a great adventure with awesome companions.

I think what Bilbo did was good. He managed to escape both Gollum, AND the Goblins. If I had thought the dwarves had left me behind, i would have been P.O.ed. If there were no treasure at all, then I would have been glad. Bilbo gets to go on this great old adventure, and he becomes a different person, or hobbit, if you will.
No, I think I would have done the same... I would of been too happy that I found where they were to be upset about it... You mean like if I had already gone through the adventure? Man I'd be like, confused like "Oh, ain't there supposed to be a treasure?" and plus I'd be spazzed that I found a dragon for no reason

If there was no treasure there would be no story theres no reason to risk your life for nothing if you werent going to get anything out of it.
Even without the treasure, you would achieve memories, stories to tell, experience, character, and friendships. =) The treasure, though totally awesome, is not the only reward. As for "no reason risking your life if you're not going to get anything out of it", You'd be helping you're would-be friends, righting wrongs, and establishing JUSTICE! How's that for a speech? =)

When you are an old man sitting around telling stories to your grand children do you think the cool stories will be about a pile of gold? The only good reason to get a pile of gold is so you can have better adventures. Life rocks Tooks rule.

if there was no treaure I wouldn't go on the journey because, why would I risk my life for nothing in return?

I would have wanted to yell at them and been like Hello, i am here guys, well maybe not that dramatic. Well if there is no treasurethen there really is no adventure. So that is that.

"Tooks rule"
Did Gandalf like, marry a Took or something?Because "he" keeps saying Tooks rule, so maybe that's a hint/allusion to why he chose Bilbo?

Excellent point! It's not the destination, but the JOURNEY...
