He has meals when he wants to, smokes a pipe when he wants to, and altogether lives the simple life of luxury...until a tall man with a beard by the name of Gandalf describes his plans for Bilbo, and Bilbo wonders whether his life is falling apart, or just beginning to be put together...

He has a very comfortable life, multiple breakfasts lunches and dinners. I don't know how he has money for all these things I don't think he has a job. He just sits around all day smoking his pipe, blowing smoke rings, and eating.
