I think the lake was there like, normally... I guess lol, But maybe one of the goblins made the ring before they stopped going down there or it rolled ALLL THE WAY down there or something like that.

If Gololum found the ring at the bottum of the lake that was in the cave, then where did the lake come from and how did the ring get there???
Wait... hold on. Gollum... found... the ring... bottom... lake... cave... oh. I have no clue, but I guess it's not that important since the author, whoever he or she may be for his/her name has escaped my head, did not put it in there... I think. But how did Gollum find the ring if it was at the bottom of the lake? I mean, is the lake like shallow or something? And, maybe the lake was as Kayla put it, 'there like, normally'. Or, maybe there was some flood and a creature in possession of the ring loss it in the raging waters of the massive flood. [enter loud rushing water noise here]
