Gollum

[spoiler]Ok so i thought chapter 5 was probably the best chapter!!Gollum kind of scared me (just a little bit).So what is he supposed to be??Like a creature or a goblin???
Because it seemed to me that he was a little scared to go near the goblins. But if he was scared why would he live in their cave??

He is not a goblin. We know that, because he eats them and he's scared of them.
So I personally think he's just some weird little creature that just happens to live down there.
Like those weird fish that live at the bottom of the ocean and light up and stuff. No one really knows how they got there, but they did.
Ha that's just my insight on the whole thing:)

I definetly don't think he was scared of the goblins, i mean he ate them. But i think it's more of him being scared of people coming to see him, and maybe stealing his stuff.
Gollum used to be a hobbit before he met the ring and went crazy and i think he might have eaten his friends even!
